I’m Sweating

I tell my students all the time.
Me: “You need to go get a jacket.”
Kid in 30-degree weather: “Why? I’m not cold!”
Me: “I’m a mom. If I’m cold, you’re wearing a jacket. We can always call your mom on my cellphone if you want . . .”
Kid: “Going . . .”

Lil’ Toot here. Operator error this morning. The ritual: Mom checks the weather on Her Phone. Then opens the Door to see what Outdoors is really like. Rainy? Cloudy? Cold? She then figures out how many layers She needs. Not so cold? A sweatshirt. Looking cooler? More. Living unstuck over Here.

Today, She goofed. Big Time. Checked. Looked. Bundled up and put Me in My stylish Jacket. Off we went, only to start sweating halfway down the driveway. Did We turn back to shed Gear? Nope. Once on the Mission, We carry on. Soon She was peeling off the Layers. Did She help Her Canine Pal? Not on Your life. Once I’m free of the leash, I’m off and running. So I met My Canine Buddies. And sweated. Living unstuck.

I’m curious: Do You bundle up with No options? Or do You layer? I say: Go for the Layers. It’s easier . . . and far more comfortable. Please remember Your Pooch already wears a Coat. Hmmm . . . Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#layering-clothing
