Weathering the Storm
I’m gonna hunker down like a jack rabbit in a dust storm.
—Lyndon. B. Johnson
Duff here. Today, the breeze is Soft and Mellow. Just right for adventuring. And exploring. And sniffing out all Sorts of Things. The meadow next to My home was beckoning and I couldn’t Resist. I spent a lot of Time Stopping and gazing. Checking out My territory. Making sure Mom and I were safe. I protect Her, You know. Living unstuck.
But the other day, the Wind was blowing. Howling. The Trees were almost Bending over. The Shrubs’ leaves were shredded. But I had to do My Morning walk, so Mom and I headed out. My Ears were streaming straight behind Me. It’s amazing My Tail even stayed attached. I hunkered down. Then Hunkered down some more, just to be sure I wouldn’t be bowled over. When Mom checked on Me during Our final leg of the journey, I was practically crawling. But I made It! Living unstuck.
How about You? Do You find Yourself hunkering down at times? Or is Your Life as calm as a still pond? I say: Be prepared. Sometimes You have to weather the Storm, and it helps to be able to make It through those Tough Times. I’m with You. I’ve got Your back. Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#fortitude
