Building Character

Duff here. Mom often comments on My Work to Build Character. I carefully watch to see that I do What I have been Trained to do. You know the Drill. I follow Her to the Car when We go to Work. I let Her know when I need to go Outside for Whatever Reason. Sometimes, It’s to take care of Important Business. At other times? It’s to get Her outside to look up and Check Out the Stars, promoting Those deep thoughts. One of My Virtues, of course. Living unstuck.

I also play with Her. But like My Uncle Carter, I draw the Line at playing Fetch. Sure, It may build Character. But I make Her work for it. I pick up Whatever was tossed… and run. Her job is to chase Me, finally securing the Toy to throw it Again. She’s a Good Sport. When The Day is done, We have a grand Time, celebrating whatever Happened. Positive or negative, it doesn’t matter. We delight in Being Together. And That’s what is Important. Living unstuck.

How about You? Are You building Character? Or are You simply being Eccentric? I say: Develop those Habits and build that quality of Character. I’m still developing new Ways of Doing Things, mostly because It surprises My Mom. Such a Smile of Delight when I do! Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#building-character
