The Mini Olympics

Duff here. Mom was stepping out on Her morning walk, rounding the Turn to the last Leg while heading Home. She was sweaty and Breathing hard, for that part is a Gradual Hill. When before Her Eyes? A group of twenty Runners, bearing down on Her. She was amazed at Their long Legged, effortless strides, for Her short legs wouldn’t do it Justice. Did I tell You: She’s an Olympics fan and has been closely following the Trials? (Well, unless She’s watching the Phoenix Suns in the Championship competition, but I’m off track.) This Scene reminded her of The 3000 meter race. Or the steeplechase. Or the Cross-Country event. Living unstuck.

As in the Trials, Mom was inspired to stand by the side lines and Cheer. And so, She did. As They came closer, She clapped and raised Her Hands, shouting “You go!” and “You’ve got this!” She even shared with Them that this was the Mini Olympics! I can’t imagine what These Fleet Footed Folks thought as They ran by Her, but I do know They made Mom’s Day. Living unstuck.

How about You? Have You recently come across something that’s startlingly Pleasant? Or is Your life a humdrum routine? I say: Join Mom and me. Enjoy the Journey. For Us, there are Delights around every corner. With the Olympics starting soon, You too can be on the Sidelines, cheering them on. Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#pleasant-surprises

The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It’s not the fact that we seize them, but that they seize us.
