Motivation
The quickest way to get a child’s (pet’s) attention is to sit down and look comfortable.
—Lane Ollingham
Duff here. It goes like this: Mom and I go out for a Walk. Or take a Drive. Or Visit with a neighbor. After We return Home, Mom settles in. Gets comfy and Cozy. I move to My Living room Bed, while She is on the Couch. After a Time (could be a few hours, or Simply minutes,) I rise up. I look intently at Mom. This is usually the Signal to Go Outside. Now. This very Minute. Typically, Mom goes for the Bait. She immediately puts down what She’s doing, and off We go. Living unstuck.
But there are times when She says something Silly, like “Just a minute.” Or worse yet? Pretends She doesn’t see Me. Or even pay any Kind of Attention to Me. Sigh. I go into full court Press. I run in circles. I Yip a bit. That does the Trick. She’s motivated and Moving. Rapidly. Out the Door We go. Living unstuck.
How about You? Do You have a tried-and-True method to get attention? Or are You still working on it? I say: Wait until Your Target Audience is good and Comfy. Then? Major distress! It works every time. Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#motivation
