Love Yourself Enough to Set Boundaries

Love yourself deeply enough to set boundaries. Your time and energy are your most precious assets. You get to choose how you use them. Choose wisely. You teach others how to treat you by deciding what you will and won’t accept.

Duff here. I have found: Unless I am clear on what is Okay, and what isn’t, I get run over. When I was a puppy, I had a lot of Training as to what was Right. And not so Much Approved. Being a Bichy-Poo-Shih-Tzu meant I had a mind of My own. I did what I wanted to do, and accepted the Consequences. But I was cute. (A saving grace.) Living unstuck in the world of growing up. Sigh.

Now that I am more Mature, I developed a Clearer Mindset about My boundaries. Mom can groom Me in the Morning. But after a brushing and Short Nap? I’m off for the Day. At times, My Clients like to hold Me. That’s okay for a Time, but then? I inform, “You can put me down now. Thank you.” I might even thrash about a bit. Then I’m on a roll. (Clear communication helps in these Situations.) Living unstuck.

How about You? Do You have defined Boundaries? Or are They more flexible? I say: Choose wisely. Your family and Friends may not understand why You are one way on Tuesday. But come Thursday? Altogether different. A gentle intro as a guide will help. All a part of living unstuck. #unstuck-living#setting-boundaries
