Just Because You Won’t . . .

If the dog clearly shows motivation and is searching for the correct answer, more intensity in the aversive is not useful.

Lil’ Toot here. You already know how Enthused I am to trundle out for a walk on Cold, Dark Mornings. Not! I mean, it’s okay to go and Take care of My Business. But after that? Let’s head for that warm Place We call home and snuggle In. Enough, Mom. Living unstuck.

One morning, Mom threw in the Towel. She brought Me back inside and started to peel off the Layers of Clothing. She suddenly stopped, and put the layers of Jackets and Hats all back on, saying to Me, “Just because You won’t doesn’t mean I can’t.” With that, I was astonished to be plonked in My Play Pen. Off She went, humming Merrily to Herself. Living unstuck.

I wonder: Are You blocked by Another Who wants to control Your Activities? Or do You find another Way? I say: Do Your Own Thing. But be aware . . . You may be left behind, doing just That. Let Me tell You, I’ve mended My ways. Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#persistence
