Sing Those Carols!
Singing is a way of escaping. It’s another world. I’m no longer on earth.
—Edith Piaf
Duff here. Mom and I went to hear the White Mountain Symphony Orchestra recently. Well, I should say Mom went. And I got to Hear all about It. (Canines are not allowed inside The Auditorium. Sheesh!) When She described the Festivities, It sounded like a wonderful Affair. The Group played beautifully, and the New Conductor was masterful. There were breakout Quartets and Quintets between the pieces. Then it was Time to sing carols with the Orchestra. Living unstuck.
You need to know… Mom doesn’t have a Great Voice. But She makes up for It with Gusto. She did take pity on the Fellow sitting in front of Her. I think She noticed Him wince when She first started in, so She sang very quietly. My problem was on the Way Home. She got stuck on “That’s Christmas to Me” by Pentatonix. She serenaded Me, which was okay the first Time. But after a While? Mom! Not unstuck.
How about You? Are You enjoying the Christmas Season? Or do You say Bah Humbug? I say: Lighten up and enjoy. Even though Mom’s Voice is not stellar, She sings with heart. I used to Howl along with Her, but that was too Much, even for Me. Enjoy! Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#carols
