When Witches Go Riding

When witches go riding and black cats are seen,
The moon laughs and whispers ‘tis near Hallowe’en.

Duff here. It’s that Ghostly Time of year, where Goblins and Trick or Treaters are out and about. But this is the Story of a Hallowe’en Bat. He was looking for shelter before He made His southern Journey for the Winter when He chanced upon this lovely Home, and hung out for the Night. Living unstuck.

The owner of the Home, however, discovered Him when She got up around 3:00 am to roam about the House. All was quiet. That is until Fred took a fright and began to sail through the air. Enjoying the breezes he created. Although She knew it was close to Halloween when bats do Their Thing, he gave Our Friend a good scare indeed. Not unstuck at all.
Deciding the better part of Valor was invisibility, The Bat huddled somewhere unknown. Not to be seen for some Time. Friends of The Owner decided the Bat needed a name. (Why, He was almost a member of the family!) This is how Fred the Bat came to be. And Fred went on to fully celebrate Hallowe’en with the rest of us. Living unstuck.

How about You? Do You celebrate Hallowe’en? Or are You can “counting-the-days-until-Christmas” person? I say: Join Fred, Mom and Me to celebrate this spooky time of Year. We can move into a different festive mode on November 1. But for now? Break out the Candy. (Or doggy treats!) Live unstuck. #unstuck-living#hallowe’en
