Stubborn You
You need a stubborn belief in an idea in order to see it realized.
—James Dyson
Duff here. Mom and I have a Difference of Opinion at times when it Comes to Stopping during a Walk. I am lower to the ground than She is, well equipped with a Magnificent Nose that can pick up Scents far away. Or even close up. As We meander on Our Morning walks, I dawdle just a bit to Check out Who has been there before Me. Or what fragrance Might Be lingering. One Neighbor cooks bacon that time of Day, so We both savor the aroma. That’s living unstuck.
But there are times when I want to Stay Longer, to Investigate more Thoroughly. Mom is patient, for She read Canines need time to do Just This. But I’ll admit, there are Times when I get lost In Contemplation. I dally and Sniff, going ever deeper into the Smell. Mom eventually pulls on My Leash. But I get stubborn. I’m not Done. And I dig in all Four Paws to Show her I will not be hurried. Now I am fully aware: if I take far Too long, She will gather Me up and off We go. Sigh. The Scent will have to wait for Another Day. Living unstuck.
How about You? Do You get lost in A Project? And get Interrupted in Your perusal? I say: If it’s important enough to You, Dig in Your heels. Continue what You’re doing until completion. Oh, and to be polite, You might inform the Other person You’ll be available a little later. Helps preserve family Unity. Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#stubborn-you
