Duff here. I was off My feed the other day. When that happens, I don’t share Much with Anyone. I keep to Myself, curling Up in My Comfy Bed. I know whatever It is, it will be gone soon. I will be back to My Regular Self. I’m one Tough Doggy with a Strong Constitution. Living unstuck.
What touches My Heart is Mom’s Care and Support during these Times. At first, She notices what’s going On. But She’s aware of My Fierce Need for Independence and does not swoop in Right Away. After a time, She gathers Me up and cradles Me. I tolerate it for a while. But soon I let Her know: I’m not a Baby. Sheesh! Depending on My Energy Levels though, I may settle back in and cuddle. There’s always another Day. Living unstuck.
How about You? Do You want lots of Attention if You don’t feel well? Or is an Occasional Check-in okay, leaving You to focus on Healing Up? I say: Choose the Latter. People can get in the way of Your Getting well. Nice to know They’re there, but really... Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#healing-energy
Dogs are wise. They crawl away into a quiet corner and lick their wounds, and do not rejoin the world until they’re whole once more.
