Dreams
A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man (or woman) contemplates it, bearing . . . the image of a cathedral.
—Antoine de Saint-Exupery
Duff here. Summer is the Time of Dreams. Of Plans for the Future as yet unformed. As a Canine, My Dreams are very specific: to catch that frisky Squirrel, to make Friends with that Black and White Funny smelling critter, to run in the Meadows. You already know I fantasize over my Dinner Menu. Then immediately move to Breakfast. Living unstuck.
Mom’s ideas are more Concrete. She will never be a Marie Condo of the Minimalist Tradition. She likes a bit of Clutter around her to show Our Place is lived in, but We are over the Top. But She imagines a cleaned-out Storage Unit, with those precious Treasures going to New Homes. Spiffing up Our home is another mind picture that Motivates Her. I suspect She feels: if She can imagine a charming place, the movement will Follow through. I am not so sure of that, but it’s her Cathedral. It’s early in the Summer. There’s still time. Living unstuck.
How about You? Are You working on Your Dreams? Or have You quietly shelved them? I say: It’s time to dust off that Ambition and move toward those Goals. It’s halfway through the Year. Mom and I are moving into Gazelle Intensity a la Dave Ramsey. You too? Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#dreams
