Dream the Good Dream
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the street and not be questioned about their motives.
—Ralph Waldo Emerson
Lil’ Toot here. Mom and I were chuckling about these Chickens. Of course, it’s perfectly simple to see Why They might be questioned. The problem then comes: How to speak in a Fowl Language? When I chat with Them, it takes great concentration and effort. I’d rather Chase them and watch them Flap around. Living unstuck.
Mom sometimes tells Me a Nursery Rhyme, like this riff on the 1956 issue of The Space Child’s Mother Goose:
“Possible, probable, My Red Hen,
She lays eggs in the relative When.
She can’t lay eggs in the Positive Now
Because she’s forgotten how to postulate how.”
You can easily see why I fall asleep right away, and dream My Good Dreams of Romping with My Canine Friends. Living unstuck.
I wonder: Do You dream of a Better Tomorrow? Or are you content with Things as They are? I say: There’s a Time for Either One. I like to chase Squirrels and track Them Up trees in My Sleep. But sometimes? I just drift away. Dream for a while. Good night. Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#dreams
