National Noise Day

My optimism wears heavy boots and is loud.
—Henry Rollins

I hear chips and salsa!

Lil’ Toot here. Last week was National Noise Day. How do I know? I heard it on the Radio. They played sounds to a listener in a Competition to honor the day. And I knew Them all! First was the Noise of a Refrigerator Door opening. Optimism for extra Munchies. Next? The refrain of a Song Mom and I both hummed along with. Last was a Dog slurping up water. I hear That every day! Living unstuck.

Then there’s the siren of a fire engine as it rolls out on an emergency. I throw back My Head and let out a Howl. I sing with It while Mom laughs. (Sometimes She howls, too.) The first Time I sang like that, I was a Tiny Puppy in My Play Pen. I fell over after, and Surprised Myself. Living unstuck.

I’m curious: Are You aware of the Sounds around You? Or is It all merely Noise? I say: Figure out which ones are important. Snacks and Treats rule. Living unstuck. Unstuck-living#noises
