Happy Father’s Day

A father’s words are like a thermostat that sets the temperature of the house.

Duff here. With Father’s Day coming this weekend, I asked Mom about My Doggy Grandpa. She smiled as She told Me of the many adventures They shared. She said (in the Dark Ages) when She was little, there was no air conditioning. It hadn’t yet been invented. So, in the summertime, the house was so very hot by evening. Solution? They would stretch out on the cool Grass and watch the stars go by. He taught Her how to make Black Cows. (Root beer floats to the rest of Us.) A big day for Her was when He ran next to Her Bike as She learned to ride. Then gently let go of the seat, and off She went! Living unstuck.

Because of Him, the Temperature and Mood of the house was Mild. He would go off to work every Day. But had time for Her and Her Brother when He got home. On rainy days, He set up the checker board, and taught Her how to play. One of His sayings was, “Courtesy is contagious.” And it is. More than anything else, He showed Her how to be a Good and Kind Person. That’s living unstuck.

How about You? Have some Fond memories of Your Dad? Or have They slipped into the mists of Time? I say: This is the Time to Honor Your Father. I celebrate My dad, Mr. Murphy, mostly by following in His footsteps. And you can do the Same with Yours. Happy Father’s Day! Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#father’s-day
