The Celebration to Remember
Duff here. The Fourth of July is here! Time for festivities, hot buttered corn on the cob, hamburgers and ambrosia salad. The Parades through the main Street of town. Kids with their Three-Legged Races. People dropping Goodies and Tidbits from picnic tables for Me to enjoy. Yes, indeed. My time of the Year. Living unstuck.
One year, I was introduced to Watermelon. Mom cut a Small Piece just for me. I came closer and closer, Sniffing carefully. The Scent wasn’t enticing. But I was in for a Big Surprise. She held out Her Finger, dipped in Some of that Red Juice. The taste was Divine. I jumped and ran in Circles, waiting Impatiently for her to Place the rest of the Morsel in My Dish. Then I dove in. When I came up for Air, I looked as if I had Eaten Road Kill. My Muzzle was Red. The Front of Me was Red. My Paws were Red. Mom laughed so hard She had tears running down her face. Now, that’s living unstuck.
How about You? Anticipating the Fourth of July, with all the Trimmings? Or do You Run and hide, as do some of My Canine Friends? I say: Go for it. The Fourth comes Once a year. Make the Most of it. And have Some Watermelon for Me. Live unstuck. #unstuck-living#remembering-the-fourth-of-july
Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as lemons.

Duff’s Note: He has a good point. Not a lot of things smell better than Bacon.
