Barbecue and World Peace
Barbecue may not be the way to world peace, but it’s a start.
—Anthony Bourdain
Duff here. I love Barbecue. The sauce can be Different depending on the Chef. Mom says down South, this delectable slurpiness can be tart and vinegary. Or sweet with a Lot of brown Sugar. (That’s My Favorite!) How about a mustard base? Yum! Then, there’s the hot, hot ‘Cue sauce with red pepper flakes. Truly living unstuck.
But I think Mr. Anthony was onto Something. Mom has showed Me photos of High Dignitaries negotiating Peace Agreements. They look so prim and Proper, Their faces all pinched up. Some appear to be angry, while others look as if They’re playing a cat-and-mouse game. Can You imagine the change if these Folks (with Bibs, of course) were diving into a good barbecue? Their faces all Sticky with smears of Yum and fingers tacky with good Sauce? I, too, think it would go a Long Way toward World Peace. It would be a good start. At least things wouldn’t be so serious. That’s living unstuck.
How about You? What kind of barbecue do You Like? Or do You prefer another Type of Munchie? I say: Bring on the ‘Cue! The meat is Delicious, tender to the bite. I make short work of it Myself. A bit of Potato salad? Yes! Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#barbecue-and-world-peace
