Mom’s 100-Yard Dash

Lil’ Toot here. The scene: Mom was at the Safeway shopping center. She spied a Friend driving Her gorgeous Truck, and being Friendly, began to Wave. Her Friend was busy driving (Good idea, but no Help to Mom) and kept on moving. As You know, if Nothing else, Mom is determined. She continued to wave, pacing the Truck from the Next Aisle Over. No response. Not living unstuck.

But Mom has Grit. I watched as She picked Up the Pace, and continued to run, coat tails a ‘flapping. (I woofed a bit from the Car in Support.) Mom was gaining on the Vehicle, when whoosh! The Truck turned onto the main Highway and was gone. The One who was most Enthused about the Entire Adventure? A Man standing on the corner, soliciting Money. He noticed Mom, and waved back. Perhaps He admired Her style. That’s living unstuck.

I wonder: When You see a Friend, do You go all out to meet and Greet? Or do You remain Calm and Sedate? I say: Take a Lesson from Mom, and Go all Out. If You can’t run, Walk rapidly in Their Direction with a Smile. I do this often, wagging My Tail as I go. Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#greeting-a-friend

One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood.
