Duff here. I’m all for Surprises. Big ones. Little ones. And everything in between. I delight in the Speed with which They visit Me. The total happiness of Someone anticipating a Need. The feeling of Warmth as the Gesture is recognized. The Burst of Love inside as the Feeling settles in. All part of living unstuck.

Imagine Uncle Charlie’s surprise when He discovered the Cookies He thought were all gone! The story was that He was ready for a treat. Anything would be acceptable, for He had been a Good Boy. (You know it took Great Effort for That to be Achieved.) But His Mistress was helping Him drop some pounds to become Sleek and Svelte . . . and She hid the Treats. Ha! She did not know Charlie very well. He discovered the Lost Items and leaped up on top of the Refrigerator to retrieve Them. Then happily brought Her the Empty Package. Living unstuck.
