Anticipating Christmas!
Duff here. On My Mother’s side of the Family, distantly related, are a warm-hearted group of Golden Retrievers. And if You traced the Lineage, You’d find Aunt Gerta. Affectionate and Friendly, especially if You had a Treat. Once a Visitor came and had forgotten a Morsel in His Pocket. (How could anyone Disremember that?) My Auntie made a beeline for Him. Then sat, waiting patiently. No response. She began to do her Tricks. Down. Roll over. Play dead. He finally noticed. Then laughed as he remembered the Goodie. Out it came, and She was rewarded. That’s living unstuck.
Gerta especially loved Christmas. The Children with Their Antics would play non-stop with Her as She frolicked about. She would carefully watch as Her Owner baked Delicacies, for anything dropping on the Ground was Hers. She was Quick! But the best Part of all? Her wake-Up Duty throughout December. Her Mistress tried Her Best to sleep in, but no Luck. Gerta was filled with the Holiday Spirit, anticipating Christmas and all It offered. Sharing is what She did. Living unstuck.
How about You? Are You eagerly anticipating Christmas? Or are You a Bah Humbug kind of Person? I say: Take a tip from My Aunt Gerta. Share the Love of the Season. You may be an early Riser too. Perhaps making some Coffee or whipping up Breakfast would be preferable to Loud Noises. Just a thought. Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#anticipating-Christmas
Christmas is the season for kindling,
not merely the fire of hospitality in the hall,
but the genial flame of charity in the heart.—Washington irving
