Cold Weather and Morning Walks
Nothing burns like the cold, but only for a while. Then it gets inside you and starts to fill you up.
—George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
Duff here. We had our first Cold Snap of the Year. Wow! How cold was It? After a brief Jaunt Outside, My Paws were frigid. Mom suggested I wear Booties in holiday colors of Red and Green. I deep-sixed that idea in a heartbeat. Where is Your Pride, Mom? Sheesh. Living unstuck.
Then Mom went for Her usual Morning Walk. While striding along, She was listening to an Inspirational Podcast about Capability. The moderator challenged the Audience to stretch Their goals, so Mom decided to double the length of her Walk. That was okay until She arrived Home. Her Fingers were like Farmer John's sausages in the freezer section. No grip on the Keys. From inside, I kept telling Her how toasty I was. Helpful, wasn’t I?! Living unstuck.
How about You? Did You do well during the Recent Cold Touch? Or did You bundle up indoors? I say: Indoors is lovely. But there’s nothing like a Bracing Walk with Cooler Breezes. (Mom suggests You challenge Yourself in other Ways than Lengthening Your Sashay in Those Conditions.) Living unstuck. #unstuck-living#cold-snap
